An amazing Sunday!

WOW! Whoever said that the Sunday after Easter was a "low" Sunday has never been to the First UMC in Sidney! There was so much energy! On the lower level, Marilee Rowan was heading up the effort for the spring rummage sale with a hard-working group of volunteers. On main level, Rilla Draper was leading the Faith Stitcher's class in studying God's word. On the third level Elizabeth Draper was teaching the children how to praise the Lord with song and dance! It was awesome!

Both worship services were full of life and hope! Thanks to Shirley Oliverius-8:00 and Lorraine Lafler-10:00 for being our lectors this morning. During the 10:00 service William Draper and Alex Biberos provided assistance to Pastor Charles as Xander Ryan Flohrs (son of Angel and Tim Flohrs) was welcomed into the family with the sacrament of Baptism.

At both services, a letter was read from Bishop Sherer announcing the appointment of the Rev. Tom Hyde (currently at St. Paul (NE) UMC) to the First UMC in Sidney effective July 1st.
