The chapel was full this morning for the combined fifth-Sunday worship service. Mollie Ronge, director of Camp Norwesca, presented the children's time as well as a moving sermon based on John 12:20-33.
At the end of the service, Valeta Rosenbaum, chair of the S/PPRC, rose to say that Pastor Charles had an announcement to make. Pastor Charles announced that the decision has been made to make a change in pastoral leadership for the First UMC in Sidney and he and Belinda would be leaving at the end of June.
After the service, many folks joined the youth for the final Lenten brunch in the fellowship hall. It was announced that Judy Rosenbaum had submitted the winning bid in the silent auction for a wonderful quilt. The proceeds are going in support of the youth mission trip to Paraguay next summmer.
