The initiative to gather shoes for the Navajo people that was begun last week is already showing fruit! The tub that is in the Welcome Center area is already full and is a wonderful example of the generosity of the people of God in this community.
This weekend, folks are involved in the trustees' effort to get the ceiling painted in the "round table room." Thank goodness for Bill Dinkel, Lanny Schiessler, Allen Aurich, Marva Schiessler and Don Gufstason for coming in on a Friday night to get the prep work done.
Tomorrow the church will be alive from stem to stern: Care/Share meals being made and delivered, getting the painting done downstairs and an all-day Alpha Course gathering will see the people of God at work from dawn to dusk. Come back, and see what we're doing in God's house!
