Joanne Goodwin Memorial Serivce

Family and friends of Joanne Goodwin gathered in the sanctuary of the First UMC to bid this faithful woman a fond farewell.

The choir, with soloist Shirley Oliverius, honored a long-time choir member by singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Lord, Listen to You Children Praying." The choir also led the congregation in singing "On Eagle's Wings."

One of the many special remembrances of the day: Sachets of lavendar were available in a basket on the table where her picture was displayed: It was Joanne's favorite scent!
