The excitement of Friday evening's ordination service was still with the Conference Members massed in the Cornhusker ballroom on Saturday morning. The main purpose of Saturday's business session was to finalize the 2010 Spending Plan for the Conference. That being done, we ended with worship and the fixing of pastoral appointments.
One report that got a lot of positive response this morning was in regards to the UMCOR kit collection.

(Rilla Draper and Dr. Alkula bringing FUMC - Sidney's contributions on Thursday)The final tally shows that 152 churches contributed 2,659 kits; 60 boxes of bulk supplies (for more kits); and $4,587 towards costs (including $2,173 towards shipping costs).
