Service of Morning Prayer, 29 July @ 8:00

A Service of Morning Praise and Prayer

*CALL TO WORSHIP

O Lord, open our lips.
And we shall declare Your praise.

*MORNING HYMN
“Holy, Holy, Holy” #64

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
New every morning is Your love, great God of light, and all day long You are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve You, to live peacefully with our neighbors, and to devote each day to Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.

FIRST LESSON Isaiah 55:1-3

SILENCE
(A time of silent meditation on the scripture that has been read). This concludes with:

Let our prayers be acceptable to You, O God, our rock and our salvation. Amen.

SONG OF PRAISE Song of Zechariah #208

THE PEOPLE AT PRAYER
We conclude each petition with:
Pastor: Lord, in Your mercy.
All: Hear our prayer.

Together, let us pray…
For the people of this congregation…
For those who suffer and those in trouble…
For the concerns of this local congregation…
For the world, its peoples, and its leaders…
For the church universal – for its leaders, its members, and its mission…
In communion with the saints…

PRAYER RESPONSE
“Jesus, Remember Me” #488

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy
name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as
it in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us. And lead us not unto
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, forever. Amen.

*BLESSING
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with you all. Amen.

*THE PEACE
